Welcome to the kick-off of the Inspired Design Challenge!
This week’s inspiration store is Target! With all the amazing designers Target has been partnering with in the past few years (Nate Berkus, Missoni, the list goes on!) it’s just one more reason to love Target (and to walk in, forget what you were there for, and walk out with a shopping cart full of goodies).
I was browsing through Target’s online site and stumbled upon this piece while going through their black and white wall art section:
The heart of this challenge is to be inspired and to act on it and this painting instantly did it for me ! It somehow dislodged a memory I didn’t know I had. I started rummaging and lo and behold, I came up with this:
A spare frame that I bought intending to use along with two others and an original cut out scene my mom brought back for me from Germany. I had perfectly usable art laying around my home that I had totally forgotten about.
I mean, it’s kind of ridiculous having an original piece of art sandwiched between scraps of cardboard when it could be on displayed and enjoyed.
Here’s a close up of the sweet little woodsy scene.
And here it is hung on a wall for good measure. It won’t be it’s final home though (I’m working on some other projects that are still under wraps for now).
Did you play along with this challenge? If so, I’d love for you to leave me a comment so I can check it out!
